TS Web Access With TS Web Access With SharePoint
|
The Windows Server 2008 TS Web Access feature is pretty basic. It only allows you to select TS Remote Apps from the server that you are on (or a single farm) and does not provide any tools to customize the interface. It does however provide something that took Citrix quite some time: Sharepoint Integration. The TS Web Access Web page includes the TS Web Access Web Part, which can be incorporated into a customized Web page or a SharePoint Services site. So If you have multiple terminal servers or multiple terminal server farms, you can use SharePoint Services to create a single Web access point for RemoteApp programs and full terminal server desktop connections that are available on different terminal servers. You can customize a Windows SharePoint Services site by adding multiple TS Web Access Web Parts, each pointing to a different terminal server or terminal server farm. So although I still think it is a shame that Microsoft removed the AD integration from TS Web Access , this (free) Sharepoint integration does provide you with some alternatives to provide somewhat more sophisticated Ts Web Access to your RemoteApps. Microsoft even has a Step-by-Step guide available for it (kudos to Jason Conger for mentioning this) Source: Thincomputing |
